A Character “Lloyd” in the Bar

Emursive Productions, the producing company behind Sleep No More, Life And  Trust, and Speakeasy Magick is seeking a Character in the bar named “Lloyd” for Speakeasy Magick. Position responsibilities are listed below but are not limited. We are seeking someone who is a true self-starter, a multi-tasker, and someone able to prioritize responsibilities. Candidates will demonstrate attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, possess and exhibit empathy, exude a good sense of humor, and a track record of on-their-feet problem solving. Candidates must be proactive and possess clear communication skills and the ability to be a team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Be on time for the call time and work based on the company show schedule.
  • Responsible for all pre show and post show set up in the bar and related spaces.
  • Meet and greet guests in the bar and check in during the entry as the face of the bar, and entertain them with good hospitality.
  • Sell walk-in tickets.
  • Sell merchandise.
  • Set up and strike the technical equipment for the post show interview.
  • Ensure the interviewees sign the release before their interview.
  • Interview guests after the show as needed.
  • Maintain the quality of work to keep the show quality consistent.
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Create report to the General Manager each day.
  • Training substitutes as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate of Arts or BFA in Theatre or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in acting for theater or TV productions are not necessary but good to have.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with lighting, audio, and camera, or a willingness to learn.
  • Light lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of supplies, etc., up to 50 lbs., as well as occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment in a fast paced setting.
  • Demonstrate strong collaborative, communication, and technical skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of self-sufficiency and organization when working under pressure, time constraints, dim lighting, show volume, and in view of audience members.

Rate:
$150 〜 / show *depending on experience
